Access to the Asia Art Archive (AAA) Internet database representing the digitized collection from 300 thousand works of the modern art work over which proceeded four years is open. Images are distributed 34 thousand to the thematic files containing information which was inaccessible so far in the public sphere.
Access to it became possible after some largest collectors of Asian art, such as Geeta Kapoor or Vivan Sandaram, allowed employees of AAA to familiarize with the extensive collections. Asia Art Archive management, which headquarters settles down in Hong Kong, hopes that the new site will promote scientific researches abroad and becomes especially useful to scientists who don't presume travel to Hong Kong. The Asian countries, except for Japan, badly document events in the world of the modern art, and even existing archives are limited and remote for public. Creation of the site developed by the local company Milkxhake, demanded four years and cost $500 thousand, the management considers as its pearl the project «Future materials: the chronicle of modern Chinese art 1980–1990», containing about 100 thousand files illustrating inconsistent events which accompanied development of the modern art in China.
